1. Overview

Rehearsal Studio ("the App") is a script rehearsal tool that helps actors, students, and performers learn their lines using text-to-speech playback and speech recognition scoring. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App accesses, how it is used, and confirms that no data ever leaves your device.

2. Data We Collect

The App does not collect any personal information. Specifically:

• We do not collect your name, email address, or any account information.
• We do not collect location data.
• We do not use analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking libraries.
• We do not transmit any data to external servers.

3. Microphone Access

The App requests access to your device's microphone solely to listen to you speak your lines during rehearsal. This audio is:

• Processed entirely on-device using the Android Speech Recognition API.
• Never recorded, stored as audio, or transmitted anywhere.
• Converted to text only to compare against the expected script line and calculate an accuracy score.
• Discarded immediately after scoring.

Microphone access is optional. If permission is denied, the App functions in a read-along mode without speech scoring.

4. Text-to-Speech

The App uses the Android Text-to-Speech engine to read other characters' dialogue aloud. This is handled entirely by the operating system's built-in TTS service. No script text is sent to any external service.

5. Script Content

When you import a PDF or paste text into the App:

• The script content is stored locally on your device using browser localStorage.
• It is never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with any third party.
• You can delete any stored script at any time from the Library screen.

6. Usage Statistics

The App tracks basic rehearsal statistics (session count, time spent, day streak, accuracy scores) to help you monitor your progress. This data is:

• Stored exclusively on your device in localStorage.
• Never transmitted to any server or third party.
• Erased when you uninstall the App or clear app data.

7. Device Storage

All App data (scripts, settings, scores, statistics) is stored in the Android app's sandboxed localStorage. This data is:

• Not accessible to other apps.
• Automatically removed when the App is uninstalled.
• Not backed up to any cloud service by the App itself (device-level backup settings are governed by Android's own policies).

8. Internet Access

The App requests internet permission only to load the PDF.js library from a CDN if a local copy is not present. This is a one-time technical asset download with no personal data involved. No script content, speech data, or usage data is ever sent over the internet.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is suitable for all ages. It does not knowingly collect any information from children or any other users, as no information is collected at all.

10. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following on-device operating system services:

• Android Speech Recognition API — processes speech locally on-device.
• Android Text-to-Speech API — converts text to audio locally on-device.

These are native Android system services governed by Google's Android privacy policies. The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or social media SDKs.

11. Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy is updated, the revised version will be published at the same URL with an updated date. As the App collects no personal data, changes are unlikely to affect your privacy in any meaningful way.
